Suze Orman on "100 Most Influential" -- personal financial expert for planet Earth

This weekend May 2-3, 2009) Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN has been naming names – the “100 Most Influential People in the World.” The list comes from Time Magazine. I thought that Anderson was “one of them” himself. (I don’t mean the Grays – pun intended).

Suze Orman was interviewed (by Suzy Welch), and she said, “I am the personal financial expert for the whole world.” By golly, yes. The whole world. At least not yet for the “Ghosts of Mars”. Maybe John Carpenter isn’t due for a Suze Orman smackdown.

Suze was asked, is there anything you don’t know, and she said, “when it comes to money, no.”

And she says, “I have walked in your shoes.” She also says she is not defined by what she does.

Michael Moore also appeared, and indicated that some of the victims of Bernie Madoff rather had it coming to them. It sounded like he thought of them as part of the decadent bourgeoisie.

Bono interviewed George Clooney about Darfur, and Clooney said that Barack Obama is the right president for our time. He said we usually get the president we need at the critical point in history (Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln).

"100 made the list, but anyone can make a difference. Do what you can, and get involved."

Here is a transcript of the show.
